Salsa 2 Performance Course If you’ve completed our Salsa 1 and are currently part of our Salsa 2 course (or have recently completed the course) and feel like a bit of a challenge come and be part of Spin City’s first Salsa 2 Performance Team. This routine will help you immensely with putting all the moves you've learnt in class into a stylish routine and give you the confidence to perform in front of your peers. These performance teams are also great fun and a chance to get to know everyone in the Spin City family! Steamy Bachata Performance Course Get ready to heat things up with this performance! This routine choreographed by Sharon in her signature Bachata style is sure to turn heads! Term 3 is well underway at Spin City dance, with new faces, full classes and non-stop high energy! We hope you're loving classes as much as us! We have some exciting events coming up at Spin City.... This weekend we have Gaspar Ribeiro visiting from Brisbane to take some special Zouk workshops. Gaspar was born and raised in Rio De Janiero, Brasil and has more than 20 years experience in Brasilia Dance, in particular Zouk Lambada, developing his own unique style called ”Zouk Evolution.” Spin City is also very excited to be hosting Zouk Master - PASTY - from the Netherlands. Currently Pasty teaches and performs under his own name 'Pasty Dance' and the larger dance schools in the Netherlands, and is a famous face both in the Salsa and Zouk scene. He is a highly requested dancer and teacher giving classes and performances all across the country and abroad. He will be holding workshops at Spin City on Sunday July 25th. Hello Spin City Family! April has started off with a BANG for the Spin City Crew. To recap - SCD has been travel-crazy teaching, performing, representing and dancing up a storm in March/April at: Adelaide Salsa Festival (26 - 28 March) Bali Salsa Festival (1 - 5 April) They were both absolutely amazing trips with the Spin City teachers, performers and students enjoying every aspect of the whirlwind salsa parties, workshops and more! Bali was our first international trip of the year and was a particularly amazing one – with soaking in the Balinese culture and ways, surf and sun, crazy motorbike rides, eating in the middle of rice paddies, it was a week to remember. Making us especially proud was the debuts of our Chinois and Demure routines internationally and receiving amazing feedback about them both! A huge congratulations to all the performed at the Sydney Salsa Congress! Both performance teams received a fantastic response from the huge audience, and great feedback. What a buzz! Everyone had a fantastic time with heaps of workshops, amazing social dancing, parties, team bonding and fun! Now for Melbourne Latin Festival, Adelaide Salsa Festival and Bali Salsa Festival! The beginning of 2010 has starting with a bang at Spin City, with heaps of new classes and courses filled to the brim with new and old students! January is zipping past and after months of hard training, we now find ourselves with the Sydney Salsa Congress upon us. Both of our performance teams will be flying up to Sydney next Thursday to strut their stuff on the stage in front of thousands - good luck everyone!
