You only need to look at Jean-Claude to see he comes from an athletic background. With his great physique and strong athleticism, Jean-Claude represented Australia internationally in Team Handball for many years! He started dancing Cuban Salsa mid 2008 before joining Spin City Dance towards the end of 2008.
Jean Claude has performed in numerous routines since including being asked to perform in Sharon's "Vampires" professional routine which was performed at the 2009 Sydney Salsa Congress.
In 2009 Jean-Claude competed at the Victorian Salsa State Titles in the Cabaret (Aerials) section placing 2nd and the teams division also placing 2nd. He then went on to represent Spin City at the Australian Salsa Classic 2009 in the cabaret section, placing 4th. He was part of the first Spin City dance Bachata routine which placed 2nd at the 2009 Melbourne International Bachata Festival.
Besides salsa, Jean-Claude discovered real passion for zouk and has taken privates with quite a few instructors in these styles to mould his own style of teaching and performing this sensual, passionate dance from Brazil.

- Sharon Pakir (Aust champion, Asian champion)
- Oliver Pineda (5x World Champion)
- Mafie Zouker
- Super Mario
Plus many more local, national and international artist at congresses since he started dancing.
With so many memorable dancing moments, the one that clearly stands out is when international Zouk DJ and Guru, Mafie Zouker, singled out a move Jean-Claude did, for him to teach at his workshop here in Melbourne. This was a huge compliment given Jean-Claude has not been dancing zouk long! With such a well known international zouk dancer singling him out, you know Jean-Claude has the goods to teach this gorgeous and hypnotic style.
