Afro Cuban Body Movement in Salsa

Christian started training with Spin City Dance at the start of 2008. With a background in Hip Hop dance and in the music industry, he started salsa looking for a new challenge. He still to this day remembers being freaked out by just how close you have to dance to the girl, but lucky for us he got over that and quickly became addicted to salsa.
Starting in beginners, Christian quickly picked up salsa and became involved in the 2008 Pirates performance team which he performed around Melbourne, at the Sydney Salsa Congress and at the Adelaide Salsa Festival.
In 2009 Christian's competitive streak showed itself, so he competed at the Australian Salsa Solo Competition in Sydney. In addition, with partner Elysia Baker, he competed in the professional division of the 2009 Victorian Salsa Titles and was 5th, and went on to place 10th in the professional division at the Nationals (ASC) in Sydney in August 2009. He was also part of the first Spin City Dance Bachata team which placed 2nd at the 2009 Melbourne International Bachata Competition.
In late 2009 Christian's hard work and absolute dedication paid off and he was invited to train with the SCD Pro Team and perform their ‘Demure’ routine. He performed this routine along with the ‘Club Chinois’ student team routine at the Sydney Salsa Congress in 2010 and will be following both routines on tour to Adelaide, Bali and New York.
Christian is a beautiful social dancer, with a charming smile and fun nature. But he is also well known for his amazing body movement/mens styling and Afro Cuban.
Since joining Spin City Dance Christian has expanded his dance repertoire from Salsa On1and On2 to Afro Cuban, Cha Cha, Bachata and Zouk.
